The Department of Physics, founded in 1985, is committed to delivering high-quality education to undergraduate engineering (B.Tech.) students in line with the prescribed curriculum. Headed by Dr. L. V. Ramana Murthy, a seasoned academic with over 22 years of teaching experience, the department is staffed by a team of six faculty members and four non-teaching staff. The department's research expertise spans a broad range of fields, including Condensed Matter Physics, Photonics, Solid-State Spectroscopy, and Nano materials. With a strong focus on hands-on learning, the department is equipped with state-of-the-art labs and facilities that support both curriculum-based teaching and innovative research. Dedicated faculty members are committed to fostering critical thinking and providing students with the necessary skills to excel in a competitive academic and professional environment.
"Physics, an ancient science, continues to shape our modern world by addressing critical global challenges like climate change, clean energy, and technological advancements. From the discoveries of Einstein and Curie to its role in both nuclear threats and global betterment, physics plays a pivotal role in transforming nations and solving pressing issues. As science and technology work together, physics remains central to developing sustainable solutions for a better future."
