About Placement Cell

Overview

The Cell was established with a prime objective of creating career opportunities in reputed corporates towards meeting aspirations of all the stakeholders. The Cell is devoted to cater to the needs of the organizations in conducting campus interviews for placements. Interactions with organizations are regularly done for placement requirements. Placement cell also conducts career guidance workshops to the final and pre-final year students to face their future with confidence. The cell is utilizing the facilities of the college like conference halls equipped with home theatres, LCD projectors, PA system, laptops, desktops, laser printers, handy cams, digital cameras, etc.

Objectives

  1. To achieve 100% Placements.
  2. To invite the best companies of different industries for Campus Recruitments.
  3. Make students Industry ready with proper planning, focus, and appropriate programmes.
  4. To promote career counselling by organizing guest lectures, awareness programmes, seminars, etc.
  5. To conduct training programmes, both in-house and by outsourcing corporate trainers.
  6. Plan and organise more Industry - Institute Interactions for the benefit of students and the faculty.
  7. Introducing Video-Conference with Industry experts and RVR & JC Alumni for career orientation and exploration.
  8. To build RVR & JC brand value in the corporate world.

Placement Policy

  1. Students should register for campus placements in their pre-final year of UG/PG course through MOODLE CMS by providing all the required information within the stipulated period.
  2. Giving a valid phone number and e-mail ID (that are active) is very important for corresponding/communicating with the students. (Include an email ID in group ID and join the respective Department WhatsApp group for effective communication)
  3. Students are advised to check mails, the college Website News regularly for placement information. They shall also keep in touch with placement volunteers.
  4. Any change in mobile number or mail ID shall be immediately intimated to the T&P CELL. Otherwise, you may miss important information from the T&P Cell.
  5. Information regarding clearance of backlog subjects or change in marks after revaluation should be immediately updated in the T&P Cell database through department placement coordinator.
  6. It is the responsibility of the students to look at the T&P Cell - Notice Boards - exclusively meant for providing training and placement information.
  7. T&P Notice boards are located at 3 places - HiTech Block, Digital Block (beside the Seminar Hall), Opp. Library.
  8. A Company gives information about its visit to a college for a campus drive, at a maximum of 10 days and a minimum of 3 days, in advance.
  9. Information regarding interview process, eligibility criteria - min and maximum no. backlogs and academic break in studies will be available in the circular, released by the TPO, T&P Cell, at the time of campus recruitment.
  10. Campus recruitment results can be checked on the T&P Cell Notice Boards and through the Dept. coordinators as well.
  11. Students who are eligible for any placement drive will have to give their consent before attending the same to the coordinator concerned. Failing which the candidate will be marked absent for the particular drive.
  12. A student who fails to attend the placement drive, whether on or off campus subsequent to their consent for attending the same will be fined.
  13. Students shall visit the Company's website (company profile) before attending the interview. The recruiters may ask about their company.
  14. Students shall not leave the campus at the time of campus drives without informing their respective placement coordinator.
  15. Students must make their own arrangements, such as transport, food, etc., for attending the interviews.
  16. Students should make every effort to maintain the decorum and image of the college with the visiting representatives of the organization.
  17. Students who clear the Written/Online Test should attend the rest of the interview process till the end. Skipping any part of the interview midway is a serious offense and can result in removal from the T&P Cell list.
  18. Students should attend the interviews in formal dress, wearing their College ID, and carrying hard copies of the following:
    • Updated resume - 2 copies
    • Hall ticket/Admit card, if applicable
    • 3 Passport size photographs
    • Photostat copies of academic certificates from 10th to UG/PG and other certificates related to co-curricular activities
  19. If a student has been selected in the campus interview and has received an appointment letter, they cannot appear for another interview and will be removed from the placement rolls.
  20. Once selected, students will not be allowed further for any placement drive unless there is an increase of Rs.1,00,000/- in the annual package offered.
  21. Students selected in campus recruitment are to join the organization upon completion of the course. Failure to join requires a proper explanation. Organizations may blacklist the college if students do not honor the offer letter.
  22. If the Principal/Placement officer receives adverse comments on the behavior and conduct of the interviewee from the interviewers, the student may face severe consequences.
  23. If any information is received from a company directly by a student, it must be reported to the Dept. Coordinator or T&P CELL.
  24. Students should maintain punctuality for all events.
  25. All queries regarding placement drives will be addressed by the Placement Coordinators.
