Principal's Message

Rayapati Venkata Ranga Rao & Jagarlamudi Chandramouli College of Engineering (RVR & JCCE) is the dream of an inspired group of eminent intellectuals and resourceful business leaders of Andhra Pradesh, to impart quality Technical Education to young men and women. Established in the year 1985 under the sponsorship of Nagarjuna Education Society, RVR & JCCE runs with AICTE, New Delhi, approved under Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur affiliation. During the 39 years of its quality sustenance, the institute has grown into one of the largest and leading engineering colleges in South India with excellent infrastructural facilities and competent human resources. Today it offers 11 B.Tech Degree courses, 6 M.Tech Degree courses in addition to MBA & MCA courses.

The institution has been accredited 7 times for all eligible courses by the National Board of Accreditation in 1998, 2002, 2007, 2012, 2017, 2021, and 2022; had also received NAAC A+ Grade in 2021. The institute is under NIRF rank band 201 - 250 (for 2022) and ISO 9001:2015 certification from 2019. The institute's past efforts in academic performances and the capability of self-governance won the status of autonomy in 2012, making it more responsible and ambitious.

As a part of quality standardization, the institute pays equal importance to teaching and research as well as character building and development among the students. The institute organizes personality development programs to nurture leadership traits in youth, enabling them to become a better version of themselves, thus creating a better world for tomorrow. The institute aims to produce quality engineers with versatile skill sets to combat the engineering and managerial challenges of the modern world. The alumni have been evincing this fact.

The college has a networked campus where all the departments are interconnected to implement information sharing, communication, application access, and internet connection sharing. The college has well-qualified, experienced, and dedicated faculty and supporting staff, state-of-the-art laboratory and workshop facilities, computer facilities, library and information center, outdoor and indoor games, air-conditioned seminar halls and open-air theatre, internet facilities, and separate hostels for Boys and Girls. The faculty continually strive to upgrade themselves in tune with the ever-changing technological scenario and guide young learners throughout their journey to becoming world-class scientific and technological personalities.

The college has a full-fledged Placement and Training Centre. This centre organizes a multitude of training programs to hone behavioral and life skill components of learners along with core competency. These enable the learners to transform themselves into well-rounded personalities and secure campus placements in leading organizations. We are delighted to proclaim the testimony of our alumni in key positions with premier organizations across the globe, exemplifying devotion, dedication, and diligence branding the institution. Bagging University ranks annually, top scores in GATE, GRE, TOEFL, and other competitive exams add feathers to our cap.

The institution runs various clubs and associations to enable students to explore and showcase their talents in technical or literary interests of their choice. There are two NCC (National Cadet Corps) Units and four NSS (National Service Scheme) units actively functioning in the institute that organize several programs, sensitizing youth on social service. The college has an EMD cell (Entrepreneurship Management Development Cell), IETE Students Forum, ISTE Staff and Students chapter, and IEEE Students Chapter. The college organizes a gamut of Inter-collegiate sports tournaments, cultural and techno-fests, encouraging student participation. It also organizes technical symposiums with an agenda to bring working professionals, researchers, faculty members, industry, and academia to a common platform for knowledge exchange on the emerging fields of Engineering & Management.

The institution offers merit awards and scholarships motivating student achievements. It also offers scholarships to economically needy students. The institute extends its encouragement to faculty members through incentives for qualification enhancement, textbook/paper publication, and participation in seminars/workshops/conferences both within the country and abroad with monetary assistance.

With the consistent and excellent support of dedicated Management, committed faculty, and motivated student community, our college was awarded 'AAA' Grade by Swayam NPTEL IIT Madras for the third time (National Level - Sixth Rank in the Country and First Rank in the State). In the Times Engineering Institutes Ranking Survey 2023 conducted by Times of India, the institution secured 36th position in Top 125 Private Engineering Institutes; 39th position in Top 170 Engineering Institutes and 26th position in Top 30 Institutes- Research capability at National Level. Also, in the above survey, the institution secured 3rd rank in the categories of Infrastructure and Research Capability among the Top Private Engineering Institutes in A.P. at the State Level. In the Education World India Private Engineering Colleges Rankings Survey 2022-23, the College won 58th rank all over India and 3rd Rank among A.P. Top-rated Private Engineering Colleges. Ranked 72 in India in the Best Engineering Colleges Survey 2023 conducted by THE WEEK Magazine and 23 in the Top T-Schools in India 2023 (Private) in the Survey 2023 conducted by Data Quest Magazine, are just a few examples not to boast about the college but to narrate, with modesty, the successful path it is treading on.
