Rayapati Venkata Ranga Rao & Jagarlamudi Chandramouli College of Engineering (RVR & JCCE) is a dream of an inspired group of eminent intellectuals and resourceful business leaders of Andhra Pradesh in setting up an Institute that imparts quality Technical Education to young men and women. RVR & JCCE has been sponsored and established by Nagarjuna Education Society in 1985 with approval from the AICTE, New Delhi and affiliation from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur. During the 39 years of its useful and purposeful experience, the college has grown into one of the largest and leading engineering college in South India with excellent infrastructural facilities and competent human resources. Today it offers eight B.Tech Degree courses, four M.Tech Degree courses in addition to MBA & MCA courses. All the eligible B.Tech Degree courses have been accredited thrice by the National Board of Accreditation. The college has created an environment of academic stability coupled with the requisite flexibility to meet challenges of a changing world.

Since its inception, the college has been making relentless efforts in maintaining standards in teaching and research while ensuring proper character building and development among the students, organizing personality development programmes for nurturing leadership in young men and women so as to enable them to become good resourceful citizens who can create a better world for all of us to live in tomorrow. Our goal is to produce quality engineers who will not only excel in engineering fields but will also have good managerial skills to face the challenging assignments in various walks of life. This fact is amply proved by the performance of our students.

The college has a networked campus in which all the departments are interconnected to implement information sharing, communication, application access and internet connection sharing. The college has well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty and supporting staff, state of the art laboratory and workshop facilities, computer facilities , library and information center, outdoor and indoor games, air conditioned seminar halls and open air theatre, internet facilities and separate hostels for Boys and Girls. Our staff continually strive to update themselves to keep up with the ever changing technological scenario so as to help the young men and women studying in our institutions gain a sense of their own worth and emerge in the world as competent scientific and technological personalities of due recognition.

We at RVR &JCCE are committed for all round development of personality and transformation of a person into a fully skilled engineer in his / her field of specialization and a human being with high moral values. The college has a full-fledged Placement and Training Centre. This centre organizes training programmes for soft skill development of students. It has enabled the students to secure placements through campus interviews from several leading organizations. We are delighted to say that many of our former students today occupy high positions in premier organizations in India and abroad. They are a live testimony to the devotion, determination and diligence that have been the hallmarks of RVR & JC College of Engineering. We are proud to say that our students get University Ranks every year and respectable scores in GATE, GRE, TOEFL and many more competitive examinations.

The college strongly promotes the students talents with the help of various clubs, associations functioning in the college. The students are given a lot of opportunities to identify and explore their hidden talents, be it technical (or) literary interests. RVR&JCCE is proud to have students who have made a significant mark for themselves in their chosen careers. There are active NCC (National Cadet Corps) and NSS (National Service Scheme) units working in the college which organizes several programs related to social service. The college also has EDC cell (Entrepreneurship Development Cell), IETE students Forum, ISTE staff and students chapter and IEEE students chapter. Students are encouraged to participate in inter_collegiate competitions in outdoor / indoor sports / games, cultural events and technical paper presentation competitions. The college organizes several Inter_ collegiate sports tournaments. Also it is a tradition of RVR&JC CE to organize several National Level Technical Conferences which are aimed at bringing the working professionals, researchers, faculty members, industry and academia to a common platform to share their views, knowledge, achievements and advancements in various fields of Engineering & Management.

The Committed and enlightened Members of the college Management give various awards and scholarships to help and encourage students, including scholarships to the economically backward students. The college encourages faculty members through incentives to acquire higher degrees, to publish text books/papers and participate in Seminars / Workshops / Conferences that are held not only with in the country but also abroad.

With the constant and excellent support of dedicated management, committed faculty and motivated student community, our college has been adjudged as the 2^nd best among the private engineering colleges in the state, 4^th best amongst all colleges inclusive of the University Colleges in the state and "Best performing college" among all the affiliated colleges of Acharya Nagarjuna University. The college found a place in "INDIAS TOP-100 ENGINEERING COLLEGES" according to a natiowide survey conducted by C-fore for the news weekly, OUTLOOK.
