The Mechanics of Materials Laboratory is used for demonstrating phenomena related to stress, strain, buckling, and fatigue. The student workstations are equipped with various testing machines like UTM, Torsion Testing Machine, Hardness Testing Machines, and many others. The lab provides static tension-compression testing, traditional wear testing, material classification, and characterization, all connected to a data acquisition system. The lab also offers consultancy services by testing various materials for both government and private organizations.
