The Department of Chemical Engineering at RVR & JC College of Engineering was established in 1996. It offers a 4-year B.Tech. programme in Chemical Engineering with a student intake of 60. The programme is AICTE-approved and has been accredited four times by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), with a five-year accreditation in 2012. The department is planning to introduce an M.Tech. programme in Chemical Engineering in the future.
The B.Tech. curriculum and syllabi are designed by the Board of Studies in Chemical Engineering, which is part of the Autonomous RVR & JC College of Engineering. This curriculum is approved by the Academic Council of RVR & JCCE(A) and the Academic Senate of Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU). The Board of Studies includes senior faculty from the Department of Chemical Engineering, faculty members from prestigious institutions like IITs and NITs, and senior industry executives.
