About Us

Empowering Innovation

The purpose of AICTE-IDEA (Idea Development, Evaluation & Application) Lab is to provide facilities for converting an idea into a prototype under one roof. These common facilities enable students and faculty to take up creative work and receive training in creative thinking, problem solving, collaboration and innovation -areas where conventional labs fall short.

Beyond basic 21stcentury skills such as critical thinking, design thinking, communication and lifelong learning, the IDEA Lab focuses on nurturing imagination and creativity. The lab proactively exposes all students to hands-on innovation, offers advanced training sessions, and supports impactful student projects.

Faculty members are trained to integrate IDEA Lab resources into teaching and research. They are encouraged to mentor students, design real-world problems and promote multidisciplinary education and research through lab-based learning.

While primarily intended for RVR&JCCE students and faculty, the AICTE-IDEA Lab fosters collaboration by welcoming participants from other institutions, industry, startups, entrepreneurs and alumni, with a nominal fee to cover operational costs.
