About the College



Established in 1985, Rayapati Venkata Ranga Rao & Jagarlamudi Chandramouli (RVR & JC) College of Engineering (A), Guntur is the 'Jewel in the Crown' of Nagarjuna Education Society, which took upon itself the responsibility of enriching the society through promotion of education, literature and culture. Today eight educational institutions are functioning under the banner and patronage of Nagarjuna Education Society, with R.V.R. & J.C. College of Engineering (A), being the flag-ship of them, of course.

An integrated development of manpower possessing technological and managerial knowledge and skills, attitudes and values needed to make an honorable living and contribute to the socio - economic development and welfare of the society.

Significant Achievements

  • One of the few Engineering colleges that were accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), AICTE, New Delhi for four times in 1998, 2002, 2007 and 2012.
  • Consistently figured among the top hundred Engineering Colleges in the country.
  • Awarded "Best Performing Engineering College in University Examination results" for the last consecutive four years by Acharya Nagarjuna University.
  • Graded as AAA by Careers 360 magazines in May, 2013.



About the Department


TThe Department of Chemical Engineering was established in the year 1996 and presently offers 4-year B.Tech. programme in Chemical Engineering with 60 intake. The programme is accredited Thrice (Accredited for five years in 2012) by National Board of Accreditation (NBA),New Delhi.

Mission

To develop a center of academic excellence in the field of Chemical Engineering, capable of training Chemical Engineering professionals to cater the needs of the society.

  • The Department is complimented with well qualified and dedicated faculty and All the Laboraories are equiped with state-of-art equipment and latest software's. like Aspen plus University package,TSPL and MATLAB etc.
  • Department has fetched grants from AICTE, UGC, APPCB under various schemes like MODROBS, Seminar grants etc.
  • Traditionally the Department organizes minimum of one Faculty Development Programme and one students related events in each academic year.
  • The Department organized Student Chemical Engineering Congress-2010(S-CHEMCON-2010) during 23-24 September,2010
  • IIChE RVR & JCCE Student Chapter has been bestowed with the Ambuja's Best Student Chapter Award - Ist Prize for the year 2011 and 2nd Prize for the year 2012 by Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers for the splendid performance of Student Chapter.
