The department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering came into existence in 1994. It was started with an intake of 60 students which was subsequently raised to 180 over a period of time. It has a strong administration, infrastructure and dedicated team of Faculty. The department is keeping pace with the fast changing technology of Electrical & Electronics Engineering in terms of its teaching program and laboratory activities. In addition to core electrical subjects, software based subjects are also included in the syllabus which makes this course suitable for core Electrical & Electronics Engineering and many IT industries. Department was accredited Three times by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in the years 2002, 2007 and 2012 with good grades. The department is presently offering 4-year B.Tech degree programme in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and 2-year M.Tech degree programme in Power Systems Engineering.
