Rules:

• Carry your college ID card.
• Complete registration before the event starts.
• Suspicious activity may lead to disqualification.
• Judges' decisions are final.

Team Guidelines

• Maximum number of members allowed per team is 2. It must be the same team that appeared in the prelims.
• The maximum time allotted is Three Hours.
• One computer and one user ID shall be allotted to each team.
• The team should use only that user ID allotted to them. Using other user id’s shall lead to disqualification of the team summarily.
• Of the programming languages, C, C++, JAVA, Python, any one of them for all the programs or different languages for different problems can be used.
• Non-standard libraries cannot be used in your solutions. The Standard Template Library(STL) and C++ string libraries are allowed. The standard Java API is available, except for those packages that are deemed dangerous by contest officials.
• No interaction or discussion of a team with any other team during the contest is allowed.
• Any sort of indiscipline during the contest shall lead to cancellation of participation of the team.
• All programs will be re-compiled prior to testing with the judge’s data.
• The team that solves maximum number of the given problems with the best logic possible and appropriate programming style will be the winner.
• In case of a Tie, logic used and the simplicity of the code shall be taken into consideration for finalization.
• The decision of the judge is final.

Prelims Round

• Teams of 2 will attempt an MCQ test in C programming.
• 30 MCQs in 20 minutes.
• Top 30 teams qualify for the Final Round.
• Qualified students receive participation certificates.

Final Round

Round 1 – Mysterious Challenge (Crack the Logic)

• Time: 30 minutes
• 5 problems
• Test input/output provided; participants find the logic and code it.
• Grades: A (no clue), B (with clue)

💻 Round 2 – Mains Coding Round (OptiCode)

• Time: 2 hours 30 minutes
• 7 problems
• Teams solve as many problems as possible.

Specific Rules

• Eligibility: Open to all participants. Registration is required prior to the event.
• Team Structure: Participants has to compete individually..
• Contest Format: The contest consists of two rounds, a preliminary round of multiple-choice teasers and a final round featuring open-ended puzzles.
• Time Limits: Preliminary round will be of 20 minutes. Final round will be of 2.00 Hrs..
• Scoring: Points will be awarded based on number of problems solved. In case of a tie, a tiebreaker round will be held.
• Materials: Participants may use pen and paper during the contest. No electronic devices or external resources are allowed.
• Announcement of Winners: Winners will be announced at the conclusion of the final round, with prizes awarded to the top performers.
• Disqualification: The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant for violating contest rules or for disruptive behaviour.

Guidelines for Prelims

• Discussion topics may cover a wide range of issues.
• The topic for each discussion will be announced five minutes before the session begins.
• The duration of the discussion will be predetermined by the judges, typically lasting 12–15 minutes.
• Participants will be evaluated based on:
  • Quality of Discussion
  • Fluency
  • Content
  • Ability to lead the discussion
  • Body Language
• Selection for the final round will be based on the marks awarded by the judge.
• The top two groups will advance to the finals.
• The judge’s decision will be final.
