The main objective of power electronics lab is to prepare the students for the careers in power industry. In this lab the students are made aware with the basic technologies in power electronics. This laboratory introduces the student to measurement and analysis of important operating characteristics of power electronic circuits, power semiconductor devices and electrical D.C. and A.C. drives for different loads . This provides the basic knowledge in power electronic converters and operating characteristics of SCR, MOSFET and IGBT.
Power Electronics Laboratory is dealing with the Electronics applications to the Electrical engineering. The Laboratory contains the Various Trainer Kits and Electric drives. The Trainer Kits include the MOSFET Characteristics, TRAIC Characteristics, SCR Characteristics, IGBT characteristics, Single phase bridge rectifier, various inverters, various choppers, cycloconverters, various commutation circuits and different firing circuits.
